Growth Group Questions:

  1. Share a specific praise from your Christmas break when Growth Group’s did not meet.
  2. In our new sermon series, Anchored in the Gospel, the very first anchor is Worship. It is important for Lakeside to have a biblical view of worship. The very first mention of the word “worship” is found in Genesis 22:1-18 (specifically v. 5). Share any insights from that tremendous passage of Scripture. Specifically meditate upon what it meant for Abraham when he said “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.”
  3. Read Psalm 95 and write down anything you glean about worship.
  4. Pastor said “Worship is two faceted. Worship means to bow oneself down in reverence (Psalm 95:6) and offer oneself up in devotion (Genesis 22:5).” Share what that means for you personally and Lakeside corporately.
