Growth Group Questions:
- Share a specific praise from your Christmas break when Growth Group’s did not meet.
- In our new sermon series, Anchored in the Gospel, the very first anchor is Worship. It is important for Lakeside to have a biblical view of worship. The very first mention of the word “worship” is found in Genesis 22:1-18 (specifically v. 5). Share any insights from that tremendous passage of Scripture. Specifically meditate upon what it meant for Abraham when he said “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.”
- Read Psalm 95 and write down anything you glean about worship.
- Pastor said “Worship is two faceted. Worship means to bow oneself down in reverence (Psalm 95:6) and offer oneself up in devotion (Genesis 22:5).” Share what that means for you personally and Lakeside corporately.
