The Bridge

The Bridge

What Is “The Bridge”?

It’s the name for our overall equipping ministry for adults. It includes doctrinal classes, as well as sessions throughout the year on issues related to everyday Christian living.

What’s “The Bridge” Name All About?

This name and logo connect to our overall church logo and location. Plus, the name shows that these classes are intended to take us somewhere! We’re not just creating more head knowledge. We’re providing practical information that lets us live as better disciples of Jesus.

What Do the Classes Cover?

Subjects will be topics essential for every maturing Christian, including:

  • How to Study Your Bible
  • What Is a Church?
  • Living Like a Christian
  • Basic Theology
  • Old Testament & New Testament Overviews
  • Answers to Common Questions About Christianity

When Will Classes Happen?

On Sunday mornings during the 8:30am service. We’ll meet upstairs in the Youth Room.

What Are Classes Like?

The material is aimed at everyday Christians, not professionals or future seminary students. Even if you’ve never been a great student, you should find the content understandable and relevant to your daily Christian walk. You may have a few things to read and work on every week between classes, but there are no tests or grades.

Will Classes Be Recorded?

We’re working on creating a library of the class recordings. If you have to miss a class, ask the teacher what’s available, and they can send you class notes on what you missed and any videos that are available.

Does This Replace My Growth Group?

The Bridge classes come alongside your Growth Group. Your Growth Group can choose to discuss what you’re learning in classes or continue to focus on sermon questions. Talk to your Growth Group leader for more info.

How Do I Sign Up?

Click here to go the registration page. We’ll repeat classes for several semesters so you’ll have a chance to attend all of them.

Can I Attend a Class if I’m Not In a Growth Group?

Yes!

What Else Does The Bridge Include?

Our equipping ministry also includes weekend sessions (such as a recent session on conflict resolution and discussing sensitive cultural issues) and conferences, such as marriage retreats and parenting sessions.
