Identifying with Christ: Believer’s Baptism
The first commandment after receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is to publicly proclaim your salvation by identifying with Jesus through the waters of believer’s baptism (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:40-41 and Acts 18:8). Throughout Lakeside’s history, some of our greatest joys have been seeing believers follow this directive from the Lord. We liken believer’s baptism to a wedding ring. The vows two people take make their marriage “official.” The rings are the simple and distinct outward symbol of the vows they have taken. Such is believer’s baptism!
