What We are All About

Thirst is what we call our student ministries here at Lakeside. Psalm 42:2 says “…my soul thirsts for God…” We all have been created for God and for fellowship with God and in our lives and at the core of our being there is a vacuum that only God could fill. We desire to know God more and to make Him famous.

Our Goals

The youth ministry of Lakeside Fellowship strives to meet these goals:

  • We want students to be known and cared for by other students and adults.
  • We want students to form deep, authentic relationships with peers and adults.
  • We want students to grow spiritually.
  • We want students to learn what it means to follow Christ.
  • We want students to explore God’s Word together.
  • We want students to see adults who love Jesus

What We Do

We meet twice a week on a regular basis.
Sunday Mornings at 9:30-10:30am at West Elementary
Wednesday Nights from 6:30-8:45pm at Lakeside’s building on the square

Every student that connects with our ministry is placed into a small group with an adult leader. Small groups are made up of 3-5 students of the same age and gender and 1 adult leader. The goal of a small group is to develop caring relationships that help everyone to know Christ better. Small groups meet during our Wednesday night program. They also get together at various times for group activities planned by the leader.

Some of our other activities include:
S.W.A.C.’s - (Sunday Way After Church) - informal get together at a parent’s house for food and fun
Small Group Nights - Special Wednesday nights where each small group does a fun activity
Community Service Projects
S.O.S. - (Student’s Offering Services) - a 2 or 3 day camping retreat where the students work in the community during the day and camp at night
Missions Trips - We went to Montana to work on a ranch last summer and will be helping out a new church plant this summer
Various other activities - mini golf, sledding, final four parties, bonfires and much more.
