Mission is defined in the dictionary as an assigned or self-imposed duty, task, calling or vocation.
We believe our church has been assigned a duty in the North Polk area. And this is not just some fancy statement to impress people or to say we have one. We really believe this. In fact, every worship service, activity, and program must flow our of our mission. If it doesn’t, we don’t do it.
So Lakeside’s mission is to:
Exalt Jesus Christ and the Good News of Jesus’ finished work of the cross!
We attempt to do this by encouraging our people to:
- KEEP MOVING toward a deeper, more personal relationship with Jesus
- KEEP MAKING new followers of Jesus
- KEEP MINISTERING to others through the use of the gifts and abilities God has given each of us!
That’s our goal. That is why we are here. That is what we do.
