The first time you come to a worship service at Lakeside Fellowship you may enjoy the music and the message, but will you be known? Will you be able to share your needs or burdens with anyone? Probably not. Will it be because our church body was unloving or insensitive? We hope not! It is probably because the greater the number of people gathered together into one group, the less they are able to know each other. Conversely, the fewer the people in a gathering, the more they can know each other personally. This is the role that a growth group can play in your Christian growth. We would like to extend an invite to all adults to join one of our 9 “growth groups” that meet throughout the week. They are age appropriate and meet at different nights during the week for you to choose!
Sermon-Based Growth Group FAQ’s
When do they meet?
Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday nights are the nights various groups meet starting September 14th.
Where do they meet?
In the homes of the different members in the Group
What time do they meet?
From 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Some groups have the flexibility to meet earlier and longer.
What about my Kids?
Childcare is provided for children at the Church Building from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm on Wednesday nights. Many groups take advantage of this and a majority of our groups meet on Wednesday nights. Groups are responsible for their own childcare if they choose to meet on a different night.
How many people will be there?
A typical Group will have 10 to 12 adults.

Starting Point Growth Groups
If you are…
1. Seeking – curious about God, Jesus and the Bible. 2. Starting – new to a relationship with Jesus Christ. 3. Returning – church experienced in the past, but have been away for a while. 4. Reserved– not sure what God is all about.
…then Starting Point GG is for you.
Purpose: To create a time each week for people to learn and feel comfortable asking questions about God, Jesus Christ and the Bible while exploring their faith and establishing relationships in a conversational environment. Exploring Faith: We want you to investigate, question, survey, discuss and examine your faith in a comfortable environment! Establish Relationships: In light of your discussion each night, you will develop life-long relationships with others while growing and challenging each other. Conversational Environment:This is not a teaching forum or a lecture setting. Naturally, these elements can take place from time to time, but at its core, SPGG is where you are free to ask and discuss.
